Why must it always be so - that the smallest souls with the most selfish ambitions run our lives into the ground... over and over, round and round it goes. I appreciate your informative and seasoned take on this "reality".

I remember, as a Manchester undergraduate in the late 70s, the political scene around the student union being very lively indeed. People had a passion for what they believed in: contrast with the insipid and conformist characters today, right across the political spectrum. Millions of people in the UK today, perhaps the vast majority, are politically homeless. They know politicians just do not care about them.

I get what you're saying and more or less where you're coming from but how can every single Lab. mp vote with the Tories every time . At a time when 15% of Tory mps have consistently voted against this dictatorship are you saying that Lab. mps have been vetted so unerringly that they are 100% obedient 100% of the time? Either that process is the most efficient achievement ever of the Party, or somat wierd beyond my ken is going on.
