What's happening in Ukraine breaks down into many iterations — so let's not let the press, Western nor Russian, set our preconceptions.
Trump dealing with Zelenskiy is not the same as ending the war with Russia. The Europeans may not follow. Nor does U.S. talk of withdrawing from the continent mean the end of a European defence force.
The U.S. president told the press he assumed that Vladimir Zelensky may come to the American capital on Friday, February 28, to sign an agreement on Ukrainian rare earth minerals, the White House press pool quoted him as saying: "I hear that he's (Zelensky) coming on Friday, certainly it's okay with me if he'd like to."
Meanwhile Z lost majority and support in the Supreme Rada of Ukraine (their Parliament). He proposed a bill that was going to make presidential elections impossible, keeping him in office until he would decide to leave.
Putin says he has not discussed ending the Russia-Ukraine war in detail with Trump — according to Associated Press.
U.S. seeks to discuss the $300 billion of frozen Russian assets but also to ask if American companies can once again do business in Russia when the conflict in Ukraine is resolved, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Breitbart News.
