Swiss 'peace' summit may escalate war with Russia
Echoes of 1938 Munich Conference which split Czechoslovakia
While greenlighting escalation to WW2
So far Russia is not invited - go figure
Putin offers to halt war based on current battle lines

This objective has nothing to do with saving Ukraine

The common view of the 1938 Munich Agreement is that it appeased Hitler, failed to stop him in Czechoslovakia, after which he marched across Europe. Western war hawks are saying Putin will do the same.
It’s a cheap shot based on false history — but it could influence their thinking at next month’s Ukraine “peace summit” in Switzerland.
If it follows the true course of Munich, it could see the great powers carve up Ukraine and escalate war with Russia.

Russia’s president Vladimir Putin has offered to end war based on current battle lines. He says if the West rejects the offer, he will fight on.
Ukraine foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba rejected a truce, saying it would undermine the Switzerland summit — a conference to which Russia is not invited.
This raises grave doubts whether the conference is truly about peace.
Poland is discussing intervention. NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg talks openly about turning a proxy war in to a full-blown NATO conflict by supplying missiles to strike deep into Russia.
The military draft is already in force in nine European countries (Cyprus, Greece, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark) and is under discussion in Germany, Italy, the UK and U.S..
The Swiss summit is looking more like a conference on war.
It has ominous parallels with the 1938 Munich conference which has been misrepresented as the appeasement of Germany, when numerous countries carved up Czechoslovakia, while the British urged them on.
Poland and Hungary took a slice of Czechoslovakia, while its ties with the Soviet Union were annulled. Coincidentally both those countries have claims to parts of Ukraine (more below).
Germany gained access to superior Czech weaponry, which enabled its further advance.
War horse
There is wrong on both sides. Ukraine shelled Donbas for eight years before Russia intervened. Russia seized territory, though the UN Charter is not so clear cut as Ukraine claims.
In the West we see new arguments every day to justify escalating war with Russia and this reveals the true objective: not just expelling it from Ukraine but inflicting vast losses that cripple Russia’s future prosperity.
Ukraine is just the horse they rode in on. And they want you to saddle up and draft.
The oiler-bankers have envied Russian resources since before the 1917 October Revolution and they have tried to get their hands on them since the Soviet Union folded in 1991.
But there are other motives for war. The powers that be (TPTB) are in a bind. Government welfare systems are near broke and war is one means of escape.
There are multiple reasons they might seek war, which readers know well. We shan’t repeat.

War today is hybrid. In military eyes that means the domestic population is a target. For politicians, it means line them up and ship them out, ASAP. Preferably with a mandatory jab.
Britain’s prime minister Rishi Sunak says he’ll reintroduce National Service for 18 year-olds if he’s elected. In the U.S. the House Armed Services Committee has added to the defence authorisation bill the automatic registration of men between 18 and 26.
The Selective Service System was formed in 1917 but hasn’t been used to call up young men for 52 years.
Does that sound like they’re looking for peace or an event that would justify escalation?
The media will deny any parallels. They won’t tell you World War Three has begun ‘til people have been drafted and the body bags start coming back.
Can it be stopped? European states are increasingly divided. Hungary’s prime minister Viktor Orbán has blocked plans by the European Commission to use Russian money in European accounts to finance war in Ukraine.
“We do not approve of this, nor do we want to participate in financial or arms support for Ukraine, even within the framework of NATO.”
Slovak leader Robert Fico opposed the supply of more weapons to Ukraine. In a coincidence, one of the flashpoints of WW2 experienced an assassination attempt on the Slovak prime minister on May 15.
Globalists are not creative. They like rhymes. Like military historians they are often stuck fighting the last war.
