So.... I thought it was Voltaire too---as that was the only attribution I had heard. But now I know not. That is, what or whom to believe.

But they delude themselves that they are so talented that the rich and powerful employ them for their expertise, knowledge, and sophistication.

I have seen this so much that I should carry around little packets of Kool-Aid for them.

You can tell when you are made an offer to sell yourself. Nobody ever came close to my self-assessed value. But I have done one-off temporary jobs for appropriate remuneration.

The illusion that money provides total physical safety as a fundamental right. Not perfect, but it does work pretty good.

Not as good as the physical safety enjoyed in a video game.

S = Services consumed per person

E = Energy consumed per service

C = CO2 Produced per unit energy.

CO2 = Total Global CO2 Production
