Thank you for the update, albeit, depressing. I abhor the Corporate/Government media (call it what it is; MSM or Legacy is an insult to my intelligence). These stories (“If it bleeds, it leads.”) disappear quickly having done its desired effect of shocking people (driving them to drink or pill at the end of the day). Like the simple carb, it’s a quick news hit with no substance; no in-depth reporting, hopefully tie it into “Global Warming”… err… I mean “Climate Change”, and we’re done. Sorry to rant, but things look grim unless one has a spiritual anchor, and I misplace mine occasionally. I truly appreciate you not forgetting about the victims, and reminding me. I’ll pray for them.

It is a desperate situation - desperation - in a growing number of places, and by intent.

Sometimes I break down into something between a plea and a curse: "What the actual.... "

One bright item in all this horror against humans: the Voice in Australia defeated.

But there’s a problem. The federal govt is pushing the agenda through the states- getting the individual states to legislate what they want.

Hopefully, since it was defeated by "federal-gov." that means the states will be alert enough to stop it there. Cross fingers and pray.

From the little that I can gather so far NSW has intentions of adopting a Treaty. Personally, I think State and Federal govt’s will be attracted to the windfall money from mining for The Fourth Industrial Revolution. I can’t see that it’s about anything other than that because all govt’s have many avenues to help aboriginal communities. If they wanted to do more they could have by now. They never needed a Voice for that. So, what’s the real problem they have? I suspect it has to do with Native Title. One thing’s for sure- the real intentions will be hidden.

I can only pray that the majority of people in Australia will see it for what is real as you describe. Thank you for your energy in illumination. I am in the US and understand too well the underhanded machinations of government that has gripped --partnering with the money grifters-- the people with lies.

They will without doubt switch from the federal to state level, and the printing presses will provide the bung.

They will continue to pit "white against black" - and admittedly there is plenty of history there - but we have to help people see the "third hand." That whenever the media is setting this guy against that, there's always a third person doing it.

In this case I think people rejected The Voice because they saw it as an unjustified raid on property. Few saw that it was an attempt to use aboriginals as a lever to expropriate everybody.

Amen. And credit to Australians for seeing through that dirty bureaucratic shell game.

Every billionaire in the world could use some good PR, including the ones that own land on Maui. Surprising that one or more haven't jumped in to subsidize the locals cost of housing and protection of their ownership rights. What could be more important to them than good PR?

I used to think/hope that once people were independently wealthy, they would use it to do good. As a teenager I even imagined that they would do battle with "bad money" and settle scores.

The past four years put all such delusions to rest. You only get to hold on to great wealth by colluding in evil.

There are exceptions, I know. But they are the 3 per cent of the 1 per cent.

The situation on Maui reminds me of the wealthy leaders of Hamas living in luxury on the seashores of Saudi Arabia.

Isn't it Qatar where the Hamas leadership sits? Which becomes more glaring when U.S. Secretary Blinken shuttles in and out of the same location. Money works in mysterious ways.

No doubt you're right. But they live in luxury, far from the turmoil.
