Crisis Update - Depopulation Article Ignites Debate Over Complicity
Bestselling psychologist said to have shifted blame from perpetrators to victims
Google “hiding” Times article on 2009 meeting of globalists to shrink population.
Eugenics and “cleansing” share a long history, integral to European empire.
Alt media hero accused of blaming the people for Covid response via mass formation.
Mattias Desmet’s ad hominem on “conspiracy theorists” under the spotlight.
His critics say a “psychology of atrocity” better explains the repression of our people.
It also links past ethnic conflict to the pitting of Ukrainians against Russians.

Walking the dog on a sunny start to the year, at the old Tbilisi hippodrome, restored the spirits — maybe contact with solid earth. Yet something is out of sorts. I return to the desk and find that despite the effort to condense, each story has the characteristic of chemical expansion.
An extra dash of complexity is added by the fact that what’s happening now is so deeply tied to long-term manipulation, the history of which is poorly understood, since from schooldays we have been, if not purposely misled, at least subject to the lazy retelling of stories.
For example Russia-Ukraine must be seen within the context of 1853-56, 1881, 1905, 1917, 1941 and 1991, all of which comprised an attempt to isolate/control resources of the central Eurasian region.
From the Crimean War and the assassination of Tsar Alexander II which prompted the pogroms and mass emigration — many of whose number returned to conduct the Bolshevik putsch — to the dominant foreign oilers Rothschild who sold out of Russia (to Shell, in 1905), who financed the Bolsheviks, whose fellow bankers and conglomerates financed the communists until the collapse of the Soviet Union when those same interests once again sought control of Russia’s resources, like those of Ukraine which president Volodymyr Zelenskiy is at this very moment handing to BlackRock and corporations fronted by the World Economic Forum: all these events are connected. [1]
Nothing makes sense as an isolated happening — yet it is arguably the intent of the corporate-owned media to build silos around each event, and to muddy the understanding that would elucidate the topic if they cared to report those connections.
Likewise, the West’s financing of the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler’s self-inflicted defeat by attacking West and East simultaneously makes no sense until you perceive he was acting within the context of this same strategy, or at least within the constraints presented by these same forces.
The clear promotion of aggressive nationalism in Ukraine from the Cold War to the current day is similar to the propagandist and psychological manipulation deployed in 1930s Germany and, so far as the East is concerned, with the same targets in mind.
A nation in which various ethnicities had largely put history behind them was turned in upon itself, like Yugoslavia in the 1990s, with somewhat different techniques but a similar outcome.
Oilers and bankers financed and directed those earlier efforts — so is it not worth considering that the same interests drive today’s events, regardless of whether the lower-level operatives are NATO or neocons?
The road to eugenics
Like a photographer, change your lens or zoom out. Eugenics (called genetics today) was used as the logic of the British Empire: strictly the first imperialists used Christianity to justify “saving souls” in Africa or to eliminate idolatry; later the Scottish geologist Charles Lyell (1797-1875) published his Principals of Geology (1830-33) that overturned creationism and introduced universalism. This not only created a hierarchy of civilization with Western rationalism on top but also did away with catastrophism to describe the loss of previous civilizations, replacing it with a new, reassuring scientific progressivism.
Lyell prepared the ground for Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution which is clearly universalist. From Darwin we got eugenics-genetics as the new secular religion to justify the ongoing imperial project. His best known adherents were Francis Galton and Thomas Malthus.
The fellow Substack author Igor Chudov reminds us that eugenics-genetics and depopulation go hand in hand, and he points to the billionaire Good Club meeting of 2009, of which many readers will be aware. What Chudov alleges is that Google is scrubbing The Times article of that year which reported on the meeting of Rockefeller, Gates, Turner and others.
A report from the Wall Street Journal listed the attendees at greater length:
The group included Bill Gates; Warren E. Buffett; Mayor Bloomberg; George Soros; the real estate developer Eli Broad and his wife, Edythe; Oprah Winfrey; David Rockefeller Sr. and his son David Rockefeller Jr.; Ted Turner; Peter G. Peterson, co-founder of the Blackstone Group, the private equity firm; Julian H. Robertson Jr., who ran a prominent hedge fund; and John P. Morgridge, former chairman of Cisco Systems, and his wife, Tashia.
Psychology of atrocity
An article on Unlimited Hangout criticises the tendency in the alt media to avoid pinning the pandemic “problem, reaction, solution” on any particular cohort, interest or institutions — be sure, the state-corporate media insist there’s nothing to see.
The authors are academics focusing on the psychology of linguistics, warfare and atrocity — David Hughes, Valerie Kyrie and Daniel Broudy — and they address the thesis of “mass formation” advanced by Dr Mattias Desmet.
In their trenchant criticism they examine the approach that treats events as something that “just happened” or formed in the public mind, largely independent of a state or non-state actor.
Dr Desmet’s book, The Psychology of Totalitarianism (2022) is “predicated upon, system-justifying foundations,” they write.
I must admit that when I read the book, I did not major on this failing — though I noted that he did not extend his criticism to the globalist project nor name them in any way.
He took a shot at them indirectly, pointing out that eugenics may lead to desirable results on a local basis — such as the elimination of genetic disorders in a country — but at scale the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. I appreciated his point that mechanistic thinking has overtaken science itself.

By claiming that mass formation — involving the hypnotic behaviour of 30-40 per cent of the population — is a natural phenomenon, the trio of authors say he is guilty of “a morally disengaging strategy known as the ‘agentless passive voice’,” to use the term of the psychologist Albert Bandura.
Desmet even disparages those who seek to hold the powerful accountable for the Covid response as “absurd” and “fanatical” using the state-corporate media’s typical ad hominem of associating them with flat Earthers and believers in UFOs.
What he misses, they argue, is the psychology of atrocity, in which state or actors with powers approaching those of a state — such as the billionaires capable of purchasing influence with intergovernmental institutions — terrorise the population into submission.
Compare the globalists’ assertion while rolling out the shot that “none is safe until all are safe” ™ to the dictum that all are equal under the law. If governments, corporations or billionaires are free to break the law or have immunity from prosecution, there is no law but only force. There is no law unless all are accountable.
It is a long article but well worth the read. [2]
Enemies of the people
Those interested in how this relates to history may want to consider some contrary views, such as a documentary released by RT about a year ago. I don’t subscribe to everything in A History of European Fascism, but it does sweep away a few classroom cobwebs. [3]
Some may point out that Russia Today is a propaganda tool of the Kremlin, which is partly true. I must disclose I was involved in the channel’s launch in 2005, when George W Bush said he could see Vladimir Putin’s soul, took a spin in a Lada, and deep state public relations company Ketchum recommended the establishment of RT. How things have changed.
Or not. For if you want to frame a country as your enemy, how better to ensure that the Western audience knows that enemy exists and experiences its presence in the living room, at least until the point when RT was banned for “the common good” ™ and to “keep everybody safe” ™.
What it gets right is that fascism is misleadingly attributed to the Third Reich: it was of course Mussolini’s invention which was borrowed by president Franklin Roosevelt’s National Recovery Administration in 1933 at the same time as AH cherry picked elements, rebranded as national socialism.
Thus it should alert our spidey senses to the fact that fascism per se is not the issue. The heart of the matter is the purposes to which it was directed. After all, a similar fusion of corporativism and government is proposed by the World Economic Forum which is a strategic partner of the United Nations and the World Health Organisation.
The media tells us this is heartily a good thing, and that anyone who suggests otherwise — that it is an undemocratic fusion of state and corporate power, in which the linking of your physical, biological and digital identity recalls IBM’s production of punch cards sorting the German population by numerous categories, one of which, Rassenamt, was race — is a whacky konshpiwathy tzeorist. [4]
In short, you should love eugenics and totalitarianism, so long as you remember to call it genetics and communitarianism.

A step back
I concede I was slow to “wake up” or become conscious of this plan. I won’t be any harsher on myself than I would be on another. On the path of self-learning there’s a decade of schoolroom indoctrination to be swept out before one can see the world with a different frame of reference.
At the same time it’s downright disappointing to learn that the song remains the same — that the thrilling appearance of progress is actually the oilers and bankers playing shadows on a wall as we did as children: making birds, monsters and Moon landers. No-one wants to be told that they invested so much vigor and struggle in a Truman Show.
While I paced the pavement of the Moskva embankment around 3rd Frunzenskaya, my head was still shaking off re-runs of the wartime movies we watched every other Saturday in my 1970s boarding school. I sweated to pin exactly where my university degree in history and my diploma in journalism had led me astray.
We knew that propaganda was baked into those war movies. Even as the anniversary of WWI approached, the British government practically mocked the dead with modern art remembrances and failed to account, after a century, for the complicity of the oilers, bankers and war manufacturers in starting and prolonging the carnage (Gerry Docherty and Jim MacGregor lay this out in great detail in Hidden History: The Secret Origins of the First World War, 2014).
What I missed is that behind the profiteering was an effort to centralize control of world resources using multiple levers: psychological (patriotism or “all in this together” ™); messianic (what today we call neocons); geopolitical (the destruction of both Germany and Russia as competitors of the Anglo-Americans and Anglo-Zionists); eugenic-genetic (the ethnic cleansing of Slavs in 1914 and again in 1991; the ethnic cleansing of Jews, Roma and Slavs in WW2); the blood feud that drives the hatred on the borderlands of ancient Khazaria and Russia (many of the top Bolsheviks shared Ukrainian ancestry, some of whom launched the Holomodor of the 1930s which starved both Russians and Ukrainians, and scarred them with such resentment that it led many of their own people to side with the invading Nazis a decade later — yes, history is messy).
Russia and Ukraine
German reporter Mark Bartalmai filmed his documentary, Ukrainian Agony, The Concealed War, in 2014-15, seven years before Russia’s invasion. This is the precursor without which the current phase of the war cannot be understood.
His “show, don’t tell” direction speaks for itself about how the West has indoctrinated Ukrainian youth in fascism. It is significant that a German reporter seeks to awaken the Western population to the reality.
If you want an example of state-corporatism beyond the performative street thugs and the promotion of ethnic violence, he reports at 01:35:00 how Chevron and Shell were buying up the gas reserves in Donbas around Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. How Monsanto is using Ukraine as a testing ground for GMO foods. Since he made his film we have learned about the biolabs across Ukraine which Russia alleges were working on ethnically-targeted viruses and vaccines, funded in part by Hunter Biden’s firm Metabiota.
Without Donbas and Crimea, Ukraine has no value to the West except as a battering ram against Russia. This clip captures the documentary's powerful ending. Move the cursor to the beginning to watch in full.
