One day of ceasefire by Israel in Lebanon; then the Syrian civil war kicks off again
Ukraine alone cannot swamp Trump in war; thus Syria opens a new wedge
Safe bet to assume the worst; someone is trying to spread conflict geographically
Someone is playing dice with the nuclear business

Perception shapes our reality, but it also disguises our culpability. Who wants to recognise their role in their own discomfort?
The antidote is not to swap the official "line" for another, to end up defending just a different narrative.
The remedy is to recognise that ideology is a logical short cut; and sometimes a complete failure of logic.
To make matters worse we are fed half-truths and lies through censorship and propaganda (since 2012 it has been legal for the CIA to propagandize Americans at home).
Ignore the"What You Need To Know" briefs in the media — that's exactly how the media is most likely to misinform you.
Here are some of the topics to consider:
Inflation, economic decline, and austerity for the masses.
The horrors inflicted on children - but not the ones in the headlines.
Our "moderate rebels" are back for a new round of war in Syria.
The "plucky" Georgians are doing a coup, ignoring where that got Ukraine.
Did you hear of the coup in God knows where; never heard of the place? Pick a team!
Nuland is handing out cookies; log-on to social media, add a flag.
Turkiye changed its name but it's still playing both sides with ISIS.
Just after Thanksgiving we heard that Assad's goose was cooked.
We don't want more migrants but hoorah for war, while we overthrow governments to expand the EU.
We hum the new song, "Do They Know It's Christmas," whileAfrica's wars multiply.
Suffer the…
And the children, the children: a world vision, selective vision, of borders and bombs, limbs sans prosthetics, still good for organs and sex.
I don't mean to minimise or ridicule anyone's concerns; rather to show that keeping up with the news is like spinning plates in the air.
Someone wants depopulation; the "safe and effective,' the farming and energy shutdowns proved that.
Perhaps they want fewer people to deal with in the nuclear winter; maybe the “winter” is how they lower the population
Economic decline
People who took Covid stimulus checks helped undermine the dollar. The resulting inflation has cost them 10 times over.
Green policies have pushed up the cost of energy. Now the U.S. wants to block China out of the market
We shall end up with a rich super class, and a massive underclass. The people will rumble, unrest will spread, and the way to deal with that is war, more sanctions, less energy and trade — a vicious cycle of decline.
The dollar has been undermined, not just by the $8 trillion printed since Covid, but because it's been weaponised: by excluding countries fom the USD system (Russia, Iran), and by seizing foreign exchange (Russia, Iran, Venezuela).
Now president-elect Donald Trump is going a step further, threatening tariffs on countries that DON'T use the dollar.
"We require a commitment from these countries that they will neither create a new BRICS currency, nor back any other currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% T=tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. economy."
A better way to restore American dominance as the global reserve currency is to end the Federal Reserve. Why do Americans borrowiand pay interest on a currency created out of thin air?
BlackRock is being sued by 11 U.S. states for rigging the energy market to drive up costs.
The suit accuses BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street of forming a "cartel to rig the coal market, artificially reduce the energy supply, and raise prices."
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Wednesday that ten other Republican-led states are joining the suit.he three companies have acquired stockholdings in all of America’s top public coal producers over the past few years, using their influence to “pressure the coal companies to accommodate ‘green energy’ goals.”
The “green energy” push aims to halve coal output by the year 2030.
War immunises the brain. War thins the herd.
Our headchoppers
The "moderate rebels" are back.
If you need a memory refresh, this was the name given to members of ISIS and al Qaeda whom NATO, the U.S. and Israel are backing in Syria. Who wants to admit that we finance the head choppers! We call them rebels instead.
NATO-ists are insisting online that the Syrian "rebels" are not jihadists because they "don't look like them."
That's because they've likely been kitted out with NATO, U.S. or Israeli gear.
This narrative, of home grown rebels, is driven by their desire to see Syria eliminated as a route for weapons to Hezbollah.
Thus their "reality" is shaped by an urge for security and tribal allegiance rather than the other way around.
So they don't address what government would replace Assad and the secular Ba'ath Party.
Some of the factions of al-Nusra were brought from Afghanistan. The north of Syria is run by jihadists. The Free Syrian Army effectively no longer exists.
NATO is active in Central Asia recruiting Uzbeks and Tajiks, who enforce the ranks of jihad in Syria, and can be sent home to create trouble for Russia in the 'stans.
