"Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite."

Monkeypox gets the headlines but it is the UN's latest moves towards policing the Internet that should raise concerns.
In this article we examine how the UN's new convention on cybercrime — surveillance on steroids — is linked to the latest health emergency, open borders, street riots, global boiling, and Net Zero.
The WHO works closely with UNESCO, a body concerned with shaping education, society and culture… for what purpose, you may ask.
What business is it of government, let alone an unelected, supra-national, intergovernmental body, to determine what children should learn, how society should evolve, what culture we create, or our pursuit of health, wealth and happiness?
The WHO's concept that drives the International Health Regulations, so director Tedros can declare global emergencies like Monkeypox and howevery country must respond, is called One Health.
Do we have a One World Directorate of Global Happiness. Remember Ren & Stimpy singing "Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy"? [1]
The reason the UN does not stop wars is simple: without war it cannot pose as the peacekeeper or lawgiver. World Wars One and Two were both followed by an attempt at a League of Nations, while wars went on and on...
Only forever wars can justify the scientific dictatorship that the technocrats want to impose. See George Orwell on the role of permanent war in Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Crisis 1, Censorship
In order to make people submit to universal joy, the United Nations on August 8th adopted a "cybercrime convention."
The Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies is a broad, vague, catch-all that allows governments to snoop and share data and content.
It was negotiated partly in secret, depriving concerned individuals and pressure groups of the chance to observe, contribute or critique.
Like the "hate speech" laws that characterise the decline of free speech in the West, the convention leaves the definition of "serious crimes" vague, allowing for other crimes to be added in the future.
Driving compliance
The crazier the logic, the easier it is to enforce silence upon sections of society. The more prone to outward compliance, the more likely that busybodies will ensure everyone goes along to get along.
A scowling face and the loud clack of heels ensures most men turn into what the British used to call a big girl's blouse: one who is easily dominated.
We saw this with Covid, we see it with climate and global boiling and we see it with the march to war.
